What Listenix Does

Listenix is designed to make audiobook storage and playback simple and accessible. Here are the core features:

• Cloud Storage (Coming Soon): Cloud storage for your audiobooks is coming soon. Currently available: local storage and Dropbox streaming.
• Stream from External Sources: Stream audiobooks directly from Dropbox share links without uploading them to our service.
• Local Storage: Store files locally on your device using browser storage. Your files stay private and accessible offline.
• Automatic Progress Saving: Your listening progress is automatically saved locally, so you can pause and resume exactly where you left off.
• Metadata Detection: Automatically extracts and displays metadata from your audiobook files, including title, author, cover art, and chapter information.
• Advanced Playback Controls: Adjust playback speed (0.5x to 2x), skip forward or backward, and use intuitive controls optimized for audiobook listening.

• Free Plan: Free access to local storage and Dropbox streaming. Cloud storage coming soon.
• Starter Plan: $2.99/month - 50GB cloud storage (coming soon), plus cross-device sync, chapter navigation, and offline downloads.
• Pro Plan: $4.99/month - 100GB cloud storage (coming soon), plus all Starter features and premium support.

Currently, all plans support unlimited streaming from external sources (like Dropbox) and local device storage. Cloud storage features are coming soon. View pricing details.

Privacy and Security

• Private Cloud Storage (Coming Soon): When cloud storage launches, your audiobook files will be stored in your own private, encrypted cloud storage. Only you will be able to access your files.

What Listenix Is Not

Understanding what Listenix doesn't do helps clarify its purpose:

• Not a Content Provider: We don't provide audiobooks for purchase or download. You must provide your own legally owned audiobook files.
• Not a Sharing Platform: We do not allow sharing or distribution of audiobooks. Each account is private and personal.
• Not a Mobile App: Listenix is a web application that works in your browser. While it works excellently on mobile devices, it's not a downloadable app from app stores.
• Not Free Unlimited Storage: While we offer a free tier, cloud storage has limits. Free users get 2GB, with paid plans available for larger collections.

Getting started with Listenix is simple - no account required for free features:

1. Start using Listenix immediately - Stream from Dropbox links or store files locally. No signup needed!
2. Optional: Create an account - Only needed for cloud storage (coming soon) or paid plans. Free users can use Dropbox streaming and local storage without an account.
3. Upload or stream - Add files from your device storage or paste Dropbox share links to stream directly
4. Play anywhere - Your listening progress is saved locally on each device
5. Enjoy playback features - Speed control, chapter navigation, and all playback features work without an account
